Transitions
The goal of this class is to provide a safe, non-judgmental and supportive community for seeking one’s own unique path toward spiritual growth.
The class will encourage spiritual growth by seeking God’s will in our lives, through prayers, presentations, discussions of a wide range of literature and topics, sharing of our own experiences, practicing deep listening, humor, and active service to others in the church and the community. We meet each Sunday morning at 10 A.M. in the children's wing, room C101.
Currently we are exploring "Simplicity: the Freedom of Letting Go" by Richard Rohr.

Love Class
We have a wonderful fellowship of active women. We are committed to serving our church and our Lord. Our class is called The Love Class because it is our belief that as we grow in love, we grow in spiritual maturity. We follow the teachings of Jesus by helping our neighbors at the Baptist Community Center, The Baptist Chapel Soup Kitchen, Eldercare and other needs as they are presented to us. Our class meets at 9:45 A.M. and we welcome anyone who would like to join us in studying about the Lord and serving Him by helping those in need. The name of our class is simple, direct, and a motto by which we are all determined to live. We are The Love Class.
Tennis Anyone?
Led by Dr. Brooks Barr, this class is intended for all peoples - singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, engaged in the back and forth struggle of living biblical faith on the court of everyday life. The emphasis is not on laying down the rules but staying in the game and keep on swinging. To do this, the focus is on understanding the role of scripture in the dynamic journey of following Christ. The study is loosely structured to explore issues of faith we encounter on the way, with a special emphasis on the way scripture has been misused to justify the status quo as well as attitudes and programs which can run counter to the spirit of Christ. Currently, our window on the world of scripture is Peter J. Gomes’ excellent volume, The Good Book. Through its lens our topics have ranged from the heart of Hebrew history to the Apocalypse, from despair to hope. Join us as we engage in this holy contest, as we serve up to each other the volatile and life-giving ideas of faith. It’s your serve!
